Central to all our domain name registration and web hosting solutions is your control panel, from which you
can manage all aspects of your account. Your control panel can be accessed 24 hours a day using the account username
and password from your activation notice to login.
Initially, no email options are configured. You can create mailboxes and change your email routing options via your
control panel.
If you have opted for web hosting on your account, you can upload your web site files by connecting to the FTP server
shown below in 'Settings' using an FTP program. Alternatively if included in your web hosting plan, you can use
Microsoft FrontPage to upload and maintain your web site. Detailed instructions for configuring your FTP program or
Microsoft FrontPage to work with our servers can be found in the control panel help pages.
The first page of your web site should be named either index.htm, index.html, or index.php and until you have
uploaded it, all visitors to domains on Windows web hosting accounts will see a "You are not authorised to view this
page" message. Depending on which server your account is on, visitors to domains on Unix web hosting accounts will be
shown either our 'Domain Holding' page which states that the domain visited has been registered by one of our clients
and allows the visitor to search for their own domain name(s) to register, or an empty index listing of your web
space. Best practice is to upload a temporary page as soon as possible notifying your visitors that the web site is
under construction and provide them with details of how to contact you in the meantime.
Click here if you are an existing user and would like to either add
a web hosting plan to your account or upgrade an existing one.
If you have not opted for web hosting on your account, you can configure your web site forwarding and parking options
via your control panel.
Until you have configured your options, all visitors to your domain(s) will be shown our 'Domain Holding'
page. This page states that the domain visited has been registered by one of our clients. The holding page advertises
our services and allows the visitor to search for their own domain name(s) to register. Using your account control
panel you can enter HTML for your own holding page.
Click here if you are an existing user and would like to add
a web hosting plan to your account.
Should you encounter difficulties in configuring your services, context sensitive help text is available for most
options on your control panel. If you still have problems after carefully reading the help documentation you can contact
support via your control panel.
If you experience any problems accessing any of your services, please check below that you are using the correct
settings for your account type before contacting us.
